Thou
and I
and all else falls away.
The sun
a spark
and the darkness, brightest day.

I'm not sure what your text means.

But the word 'darkness' here visited later; while praying today, a visual thought had a poor humble St. Anthony-type (of whom I'd requested an intercessional favor) way down in the dark, warm dirt with me, who was purposely staying nearby..from where we both viewed a triumphant Jesus and a sunny day all over His landscape. If only I could paint! I nudged the gentle one in brown into the Light of holy joy where he belongs.

Oh, gosh, I just remembered what it was I asked for. Something for KB.. she lost her pain-in-the-a Scots husband (that crabby brilliant near-wildman whom a few of us loved from the top of his head to the soles of his Harley boots -- whom no one loved more than did she who was with him from teen years on through) last Christmas eve.. he was only 50, a virus attacked his heart, God rest him, he was gone within hours.. K just found out that one of their sons and his wife are having a son.. and I asked that all go well, that K can be grandparent enough for 2 without terrible pain, and that hubby somehow shares in it. The Light shines in the darkness, oh, yes it does. Amen. Maybe I do know what your text means. :-)

Lovely, kt. To me it's like an even shorter Snippet on the dark night of the spirit. We could call it a Snippeteenie!

Ah, that Darkness. The Darkness of the Deposition that seems lifelong some decades.. the Darkness that assures me JP II is alive and well and visiting all of Russia with Christ's love at last. The Darkness that whispers Christ is right here, that if I close my eyes and shut up for just a second, I will hear His heart beating throughout the earth. Tabernacle Darkness.
